I believe I have finally decided what I plan on doing with this blog. I have for some time now had difficulty marrying my love of creative writing with the awkwardness of doing so in a public space. I feel as though I can finally do that given that I have attached a few rules.
1 - No personal details, and by that I mean nothing that could create a situation in which anyone could say 'hey...that address sounds vaguely familiar...I should totally go track this person down and wear his intestines as a hat!
2 - Protecting the Innocent - I think it's just a good rule to use names other than the various protagonists that you are using in a story. Again this has a lot to do with the entire 'stalking' business, but also I just think it's not fair to someone if I am talking about them and they have no idea.
3 - Keep it funny! - I swear to god I am beyond sick and tired of reading people's blogs where they want to dissect serious topics to the Nth degree. That's fine if you're salon.com or Roger Ebert. No? Not one of those people? Keep your opinions to yourself, and if you cannot, please god make it entertaining.
